NEWS… The Here’s Jack (Nicholson) Blogathon Final Day Is Here

#AllPosts

It’s the last day for my Here’s Jack Blogathon 2017…

The final day is here with Jack Nicholson as the star of the show.

My favourite decade for Jack’s movies was undoubtedly the 1980s. This was the year I finally saw more of his rated 15 movies (must have looked my age, because my height certainly didn’t help). My favourites include his film stealing role as the Joker in Batman (1989). Who for so many of us, is the best DC villain and not just because of his villainy. Jack almost revelled in this role, with his trademark crazy suits and his smile – there really can be only one!

The other role made for Nicholson is the Devil himself in The Witches of Eastwick with my review of this linked below, as my entry to the blogathon. The other roles included the President (and crazy cowboy guy – don’t know how else to describe him either, Emma K Wall) in Mars Attacks (1996) – I mean who else has the gravitas and presence to be an 80s American President.

Not forgetting Terms of Endearment (1993) – although wee Huckleberry Fox also gave an Oscar-worthy performance – and Heartburn (1986) with a blink and miss him cameo from Kevin Spacey, who like Greg Kinnear in As Good As It Gets (1996) can do a mean impersonation of Jack.

So if you’ve just joined the blogathon, click here for Day 1 posts and here for Day 2. Yesterday’s post included many of his films including Somethings Gotta Give (2003), Man Trouble (1992) and Easy Rider (1969). One thing is clear from all the entries so far, many of Jack’s performances have been a favourite for many of us over the decades for so many different reasons.

Kicking off today is my Realweegiemidget Reviews post on The Witches of Eastwick (1987) where Jack played Daryl Van Horne, the Devil…
