So it’s the Here’s Jack Blogathon recap, a terrific 22 of you joined the fun by sending me your wonderful posts on Jack Nicholson’s films. It has been an honour to hold this blogathon on this fabulous charismatic actor. I’ve learnt so much more about Jack and his movies, from my fantastic entrants… and a big thanks to those of you who added your reviews.

Seetimaar-Diary of a Movie Lover’s entry on Little Shop of Horrors (1960) and Silver Screenings on Chinatown (1974) told me so much more about the history behind their movie choices – now I can impress Darlin’ Husband on a rewatch of these movies!

Midnite Drive In’s One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975) and Caz’s Let’s go to the Movies post on As Good As It Gets (1997) so made me want to watch my favourite Jack Nicholson roles again, and again. Seetimaar-Diary of a Movie Lover also added his take on One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975).

Emma K Wall told us more about Mars Attacks (1996) – with the funniest description of those wee men from Outerspace.

No Nonsense with Nuwan Sen told me more about two yet unseen Jack Nicholson movies, The Shootist (1966) and Ride in the Whirlwind (1966) which I’m so going to have to hunt down now…

Barry from Cinema Catharsis reminded me that Jack had starred with Karen Black in Five Easy Pieces (1970).

Tranquil Dreams‘ post shared a similar experience to me when she watched Terms of Endearment (1983) with a parent.

Vinnie H‘s post and our discussion following this led to him asking my views of his reviewed movie. This is his take on Something’s Gotta Give (2003). (My review on this will come soon Vinnie!)

Shameless Pile of Reviews and Moon in Gemini told us more about Nicholson roles I’d not seen in Man Trouble  (1992) and Easy Rider (1969) respectively.

My own review – as Realweegiemidget Reviews – for the blogathon, The Witches of Eastwick (1987) told about a role tailor-made for Jack as the devil.

80s Reboot Overdrive told the tale of Jack in the Batman (1989) movie and much more in his podcast on 80s Icon Jack Nicholson.

Charlene’s (Mostly) Classic Movie Reviews told us more about the mother-daughter bond in Terms of Endearment (1983).

Movie Rob tells us more about a film I’d seen – Prizzi’s Honor  (1985) – and one I hadn’t, The King of Marvin Gardens (1972).

Michaela from Love Letters to Hollywood told us so much more about Jack in Little Shop of Horrors (1960).

Katrina from Daily Life Lessons Blog added her review of Goin’ South (1988) a much treasured Jack Nicholson movie.

It Came from the Man Cave then gives us his unique take on the Horror movie The Terror (1963) movie. And Critica Retro shared her experience of this film too.

Another Horror was watched and reviewed, this time with Christina Wehner telling us more about Jack in The Raven (1963).

Pfeiffer Pfilms and Meg Movies’ Paul S told about one of Jack’s leading ladies, Michelle Pfeiffer, in his blog dedicated to this actress (and Meg Ryan) about her and Jack in Wolf (1994).

And the blogathon was wrapped up with a review of A Few Good Men (1992) from Drew’s Movie Reviews.

And a big thanks to you readers for joining us too, and the great news is that I’ll soon be announcing another blogathon – collaborating with one of these wonderful bloggers mentioned above, after their kind invitation. There will be another solo blogathon after that for another birthday boy coming up next year.

Finally, another new exciting Realweegiemidget joint collaboration has just started…(and of course, I’m open to any other collaboration with bloggers at any time), with another wonderful film blogger not mentioned here (but they have been mentioned previously). Hope you enjoyed seeing Jack’s acting performances through the decades as much as me.

And from my heart, thank you Jack Nicholson and as my Weegie dad always said “Long may your lum reek” or “May you live a long and healthy life” (as you say in English). And even if you don’t make more films I know you’ll be entertaining us in these (and more) of your great movies for many years to come.
