Welcome to the Michael Caine blogathon!

Counting down the days to Michael Caine’s 85th birthday…

The big day has finally arrived with this the first of three days with some wonderful film bloggers and their fantastic posts on the film career of Michael Caine.

It’s finally here, and I for one been looking forward to this since mid December last year. Since announcing this blogathon, many, many film bloggers have sent wonderful requests to join and add posts to this blogathon.  All joined with requests to add reviews on films from a huge filmography. With only a few duplicates and all from Michael Caine’s acting talents as the leading man in movies from then and now. I am looking forward to reading all these reviews,  revisiting those much-loved movies I watched with him (sadly, not literally) over the years.

There is as always still time to add your review, with those all important banners and blogathons rules if you CLICK HERE. And now on with the reviews… and tune in from time to to time as I’ll add posts as I get them. And click on the film title to read the review…

Jay from Cinema Essentials kicks things off as he tells us more on Michael Caine as Harry Palmer in The Ipcress File (1966)

The lovely Vinnieh shares his post on Half Moon Street (1986) where Michael Caine acts alongside lovely Sigourney Weaver…

Chris Cooper from Angelman’s Place in the first of two posts tells us all about Caine’s role in X, Y and Zee (1972)

Quiggy from Midnite Drive in adds his post on Michael Caine in Without a Clue (1988).

Maddy from Maddy loves her classic films adds her 5 Favourite Michael Caine movies.

Movie Rob joins us with his first of three posts with Caine playing Mike in Mr Destiny (1990)…

Kira from Film and TV 101 joined us over the weekend with her entry on Children of Men (2002) where Caine plays Jasper.

and Taking Up Room adds her first post for this blogathon here on Michael Caine in Miss Congeniality (2000).

And remember to join us regularly for more posts this evening and of course the next two days with even more posts, with the birthday boy to be…and all these posts have been shared and tweeted on Facebook and Twitter. And bloggers, I’ve added some comments to your posts so if they aren’t showing…. please check your spam or pending folders!

And hope to see y’all soon…
