NEWS… Announcing the Great Hammer-Amicus Blogathon

#AllPosts

Enter if you dare my latest joint blogathon…

With Barry from Cinematic Catharsis, the Master of Horror (and more) have we got a double treat of a blogathon for you.

The History of Hammer in 90 Seconds, Hammer

Now putting those ghoulish puns aside, I’m cordially inviting you to a blogathon this time not on a favourite actor this time. But on two big production names when you think of Horror movies – Hammer and Amicus.

This is a joint blogathon with the lovely Barry from Cinematic Catharsis who came up with this inspiring idea for our blogathon. This will all kick off on the spooky dates of the 1st to 3rd of June 2018 and you are invited to join us with Barry’s post if you click here

The rules…

I’d love you lovely lot of  bloggers to join me….or anyone else who wants to celebrate all things Amicus and Hammer,

  1. You can review ANY of their films or TV shows. Or if you want to review books about these, that’s ok with me too.
  2. We will allow just one duplicate for each topic be it a movie, book or TV Show.
  3. Review choices can be added as a comment on this page or you can contact me on my Contact Me page  – either way please add the name and URL of your blog along with your choice of movie/book or TV choice. Or you can send me a Direct Message on Twitter.
  4. Or if you want to write about these topics (eg actors involved), tell me what your topic will be. I won’t accept posts that are uncomplimentary or disrespectful to these works.
  5. Add your Twitter or Facebook pages so I can promote your post.
  6. You can also add podcasts about their work but only if you send me the podcast link by my Contact Me page.
  7. A full list of blogs, podcasters and review choices will be posted on a separate page and updated regularly.
  8. Only original,  never before published posts will be accepted.
  9. Send your link to your post / podcast / video to Barry and me on the days of the blogathon.
  10. Note we will be publishing all the links on both my WordPress blog and his Blogspot pages.

Our review choices…

These are my and Barry’s (possible) choices… and remember you don’t have to do one of each, you can do as many or as little as you like from each…

  1. An interesting topic you’ve chosen here. This round I will give a miss as I’m really not into horror at all BUT to make up for that I‘ll remind you that it is almost Easter and I’ll be sourcing Chocolate Swap contents…

  2. Hey Gill. I’m so sorry that I was unable to participate in your William Caine Blogathon. Damn headaches. I want to make it up to you with this blogathon. I would like to write about two of Bette Davis’s films, “The Nanny” ( 1965 ) and “The Anniversary” ( 1968 ). Thanks.

By the way, I’ve just announced another blogathon. You can check it out on my blog.

  3. Hey Gill. Can I change my entry? I figured that I’m always writing about movies starring one of my favorite people, so I think its time to venture out. I would love to write about “The Phantom Ship” ( 1935 ), which is also known as “The Mystery of the Mary Celeste”. It’s known worldwide as “The Phantom Ship” though.

  4. Oh I cannot resist this opportunity! Such a fan of Hammer and Amicus productions and can’t wait to read some of the great entries above. May I put myself down for Dracula, Prince Of Darkness please? Thank you so much! Paul from Silver Screen Classics

  5. Hi! I blog at Shadowplay (dcairns.wordpress.com) and this is right up my street.

Are The Devil Rides Out and The Beast Must Die spoken for?

My only problem is that June is a long way away and I might forget. Any chance of a reminder in May?
