Now live and unleashed some singing sensations in the movies…
With fabulous reviews those musical acts from all over the globe.
Are you ready for some musical stars in the movies? If you are read on… Today it’s a big welcome to the first day of the Pop Stars Moonlighting blogathon… Just a few months ago I announced the movie blogathon it seems a lot of you have been waiting for.
The mission was to review a film or TV show with a pop star in it. As I’m a flexible kinda gal, this “pop” star could be of any decade, any country and any genre. So pop stars as varied as Frank Sinatra, David Bowie, Kiss and Sting took centre stage in the Who’s Doing What reviews list HERE.
This blogathon is running for two more days after today. So bloggers if you want to add a last-minute review, just check out those rules HERE and send me a message. Consider yourself in, but only after I approve your choice.
Please note I am not accepting Guest Posts, but I will accept relevant posts from other blogging niches. Remember to CLICK on the title of the film or TV show and you’ll reach for those stars…
Now the first of our musical talents bursting into the film scene…
Starting things off is my post from here at Realweegiemidget Reviews from Sarah Kivi (a Finnish singer) in the Finnish film Jos Rakastat (2010)… Otherwise known as If you Love…
The Wonderful World of Cinema tells us more of David Bowie in one of his many acting roles in The Linguini Incident (1991)…
Go back to the 1980s with Hollywood Genes as she shares a review on Sting in Dune (1984)…
Angelman’s Place adds the musical Tommy (1975) with Roger Daltrey, Elton John and more…
Until The Lights Go Up writes about an early role for Mickey Dolenz in the TV Show Circus Boy (1956-58)…
The Spirochaete Trail reviews another 1980s classic with Bette Midler in Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986)…
The Midnite Drive In shares the first of his posts with a 1980s appearance from Meat Loaf in Roadie (1980)…
The Oak Drive In writes on a duo of pop star appearances with James Taylor and Dennis Wilson in the road movie Two-Lane Backdrop (1971).
Beetley Pete tells us more about a 1980s film for David Bowie in Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence (1981)…
Tune in later as I’ll be adding posts as I get them.. and remember there are more posts tomorrow and the day after that and your post will be promoted now!
I’m not going to be here for a few days, so sorry I won’t be able to comment until Tuesday.
Best wishes, Pete.

Me too, if you check out the Who’s Doing What page I’m hoping to get some terrific entrants. There’s also still time to enter (and another blogathon in April on Vincent Price)… if you interested

I have some deadlines still looming and am currently procrastinating 😀 If I get my butt in gear and finish the rest of the work I have to do, I may be able to work up something for Vincent Price.

Have fun. I’m sorry I couldn’t get involved, although I’m happy to see someone is featuring Two-Lane Blacktop, which is one of my favourites. Good luck with your exam as well.
