Onwards to Day 2 of the Home Sweet Home Blogathon

And there’s more…

It’s Day 2’s posts for this blogathon with reviews on films and TV featuring family, home and starry family connections.

I woke this morning to a catch-up time, big time and you’ve got a terrific 12 posts to read from late on last night and today and 6 from last night (if you didn’t read them yesterday). As of this morning, I discovered 6 comments here and around 30 tweets and comments (!) on Social Media.

And many of these were posts for this popular blogathon. There were also some lovely comments on my post about my contribution, Heartburn (1986). These posts will be added here along with today’s entries.  I’m commenting on all of these posts and comments today, so if your comments don’t appear please tell me.

Yesterday Taking up Room and I had some great posts and fantastic reads from some passionate bloggers writing on some wonderful films. These reviews talking about both vaguely functional and certainly dysfunctional families and super spooky houses and new houses needing renovation.

These movies starring familiar names from Mary Kay Place to Helen Mirren, and Jack Nicholson to Anthony Quinn. These entries were from a wide range of decades from the thirties to the 2010s and set in more than a few different genres. The latter including anime, drama, international films, classics and horror.

Today we’ve more posts on homes and family, so enough of my gittering and on with the show and click on those blue links to find the reviews…

Kicking things off today is a post from Craig at The Craggus with his post on the quirky Coneheads (1993)…

Emily at The Flapper Dame tells more on the Australian TV Series, A Place to Call Home (2013-2018)…

Terence from A Shroud of Thoughts adds his take on Secondhand Lions (2003)…

Barry from Cinematic Catharsis shares his views on Summer Days with Coo (2007)…

Charity at The Sacred and the Secular adds her post on the TV Series Lark Rise to Candleford (2008-11)

Jonathan at Dubsism tells us more on Big Jake (1971)…

Movies Meet Their Match tells about Life with Father (1947)…

Kayla from Whimsically Classic adds the house from the TV Show, The Brady Bunch

Paul from Pfeiffer Pfilms and Meg Movies adds his thoughts on One Fine Day (1996)…

Kristen from K N Winiarski Writes adds a post on You Can’t Take it With You (1938)…

and my fabulous co-host Rebecca from Taking Up Room tells more on Far and Away (1992)…

I urge you now to return to Day 1 now after reading this post as there are some wonderful tributes to be read on films about family and homes… and keep tuning in as I’ll add posts as I get them.
