#AllPosts
Time to celebrate all things Hammer and Amicus again…
Join me and Barry for this blogathon celebrating both those dark and light themed films from these productions.
Amicus Films Productions Posters Collection (1962-1980), The End
and
Hammer Horror Poster Gallery, Gateway to Infinity
Judy Matheson
“It is such a joy & a privilege to be still associated with the Hammer legend, so many years after the films were made”
Here are the rules…
- You can review ANY of their films or TV shows. Or if you want to review books or topics about these film companies, that’s ok with us too.
- We will allow just one duplicate for each topic be it a movie, book or TV Show. You can only write on those previously duplicated if they are in a list or retrospective review. But you can, of course, mention other films and TV in your post. A maximum of two posts per person is allowed…
- Review choices can be added as a comment on this page or you can contact me on my Contact Me page – please add the name and URL of your blog along with your choice of movie/book or TV choice. Or you can send me a Direct Message on Twitter.
- Or if you want to write about these topics (eg actors involved), tell us what your topic will be. We won’t accept posts that are uncomplimentary or disrespectful to these talents and their works.
- Add your Twitter username so we can promote your post.
- You can also add podcasts about their work, but only if you send me the podcast link on my Contact Me page.
- A full list of blogs, podcasters and review choices will be posted on a separate page and updated regularly.
- Only original, never before published posts will be accepted.
- Send your link to your post link/podcast/video to Barry or me on the days of the blogathon.
- Note we will be publishing all the links on both blogs on each day of the blogathon. As we both have completely different time zones this may mean you turn up on two days depending on when you add your post.
- All post choices must be confirmed with Barry and I first or they won’t be added to the blogathon. It is not fair to others otherwise.
These are my and Barry’s choices…
Remember you don’t have to do one of each, you can do as many or as little as you like from each…
Barry at Cinematic Catharsis – Demons of the Mind (1972, Hammer)
Gill at Realweegiemidget Reviews – The Lady Vanishes (1979, Hammer) and Supper with the Stars with your Host Vincent Price (2021) by Peter Fuller and Jenny Hammerton (Hammer and Amicus).
Not forgetting those important links…
The Who’s Doing What page…HERE
Lists of those Amicus productions are HERE.
There’s more on the Hammer productions HERE and their films HERE.
Please include a banner in your post…
Hope you hear from you soon… and remember there is still time to join my No True Scotsman blogathon HERE…
Hi Gill – could I do The Witches (aka The Devil’s Own) from 1966 starring Joan Fontaine?

Hi Gill! I would like to write about A Weekend with Lulu! Maybe not the most “hammerish” of the Hammer films but I can’t say no to a film with Carry On actors!

I found a copy of the Hammer Hound of the Baskervilles (1959), so put me down for that one, please! Even though I’ve got my Glenn Ford blogathon and am participating in another one in October, I can’t resist joining this one too, since I got my hands on a copy after all 😉

Certainly Rachel. Will add you now… Blogathos are quite addictive.

I’m so sorry, Gill, but I’m going to have to pull out of this blogathon. My life has been insane lately, and I haven’t had time to rewatch Baskervilles. If you run a blogathon like this again next year, maybe I can contribute it then instead, now that I have a copy of the movie 🙂 Sorry!
