NEWS… Day 2 with Moore and more posts for the You Knew My Name: The Bond Not Bond Blogathon

#AllPosts

Tune in to see even more Brosnan – yay! – and the first of the Connery posts…

Gabriela and I are celebrating those men who were Bond in style with some wonderful news for you.

It was an amazing first day for the You Knew My Name: The Bond Not Bond Blogathon with 12 terrific entries of all sorts. Gabriela and I are now back on the second day celebrating our Bond sextette. And for all you Scottish readers, Sean Connery joined the blogathon late last night with two posts.

Meanwhile, in Finland, I slept, dreaming of Pierce Brosnan on a trapeze in a Bond fueled dream. George Lazenby was there too looking super dapper with his tache. He was hunting down a fedora-wearing Daniel Craig (and more before you comment Cat!) who was doing a gangster turn. (And this is one of the joys of being a blogathon host.)

As for Roger Moore, he was wearing a Mac and doing his best Colombo impression. This dream could easily be… if you add a couple of blonde actresses, a pictorial poster and a lobby card tribute from Paul S at Pfeiffer Pfilms and Meg Movies. And in that vein, Moore’s one more thing  – said with the omnipresent arched eyebrow – now follows…

After chatting with my lovely co-host we’ve decided that one Bond sextette tribute, like the world is not enough. So we have decided to make this a yearly event! So now to today’s terrific entries… and remember to click on the blue title to read the review…

Angelman’s Place tells us more about Timothy Dalton‘s comic screen stealing character in Hot Fuzz (2007)…

Phyllis Loves Her Classic Movies shares her thoughts on a lovely romantic Sean Connery in Another Time, Another Place (1958)…

Whimsically Classic adds Pierce Brosnan in another comic screen stealer in Mrs Doubtfire (2003)…

Sean Connery kind of makes an appearance, here as the voice of a dragon as The Caffeinated Fangirl regales about his role in 2003’s Dragonheart.

Roger Moore returns in a TV movie in the attention grabbing titled The Man Who Wouldn’t Die (1995) reviewed by Films from Beyond the Time Barrier

The Very Special Blog adds Pierce Brosnan in the perfectly timed post on Remington Steeles Christmas episode, Dancer, Prancer, Donner and Steele.

Tune in regularly to me and Gabriela as we will be adding posts as we get them… and tune into Day 1 HERE if you need a wee catch up… I will be adding comments to all the posts so please check your spam folders and then tell me if it hasn’t arrived…

  1. A terrific idea for a blogathon! I could have done so many: Lazenby’s cameo in “Kentucky Fried Movie”, the outrageous costume Sean Connery wore in “Zardoz”, or Dalton’s terrific work in “Hot Fuzz” just to name a few more of my favorites!
