Don’t Blink… Cameos in the Movies
Don’t you love it when you see an actor or actress you weren’t expecting …
There’s a few in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) – which I’m not going to mention – don’t read on if you don’t want to know.
Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul in Starsky and Hutch (2004).

When this particular couple of cameos make their appearance you almost made you want them to refilm the film again but with them reprising as their 1975 TV characters and replace Ben Stiller (Starsky) and Owen Wilson (Hutch). Which along with a rewrite is what I’m sure most of us thought when we saw The Dukes of Hazzard (2005) film. Jessica Simpson will never ever be Catherine Bach who originally played Daisy Duke. Ask my darlin’ husband or my dad. And goes without saying those darn Hazzard Boys from the 1970s are still hot.
Bill Murray in Zombieland (2005)

We do forgive you for Garfield (2005), Bill but you should have added Charlie’s Angels (2000). Unless it was a favour for John Forsythe. And then only as only he could be Charlie, as he was in the TV series. The fact that the actor who voiced Charlie and who was Blake Carrington were one and the same, I learnt from darlin’ husband during a random Dynasty (1981-1989) discussion.
Larry Hagman in Superman (1978)

One actor who escaped the oft mentioned Superman curse would be Larry Hagman. As not only did he star in a all to brief cameo in the first Superman movie alongside Gene Hackman and Christopher Reeve. Yup 1978 must have been Hagman’s best year, as he also took on a small part in a then new series about a wealthy Texan family. The character was J.R. Ewing and the series of course was the highly successful Dallas (1978-91).
Sean Connery in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (1991)

One of two actors in the film who upstaged Costner, the other of course being Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham. Only Connery could get away with playing an English man with a Scottish accent. Got away with this more than the lead American playing Robin Hood.
Christopher Lloyd in A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014)
