NEWS… Is It So Long and Farewell to the Mismatched Couples Blogathon?

#AllPosts

It’s the not final day with those film and TV matches made in hell, or mismatched in heaven…

Join Barry and me for the final day, and those delightful bloggers.

It may still be Day 2 for Cinematic Catharsis and Barry’s time zone, but it’s the final day on Realweegiemidget Reviews for the Mismatched Blogathon. Yesterday and the wee small hours (in Finland) brought four more bloggers to this blogathon… and some more great mismatched pairings.

And firstly a bit of housekeeping which applies to all my joint blogathons…  those who still have to submit I must stress, do remember to send your posts to both Barry and me for maximum promotion. When I sign off, I approve my comments the next day, add you to my next day’s post, and then send Barry your post (in the off chance case you haven’t). Usually, once my post is published at night, I don’t add more to that day – unless it’s the final recap – so that you can be promoted in my posts on publication.

Also please send your links to me and Barry when you publish as I’ve found a few stray posts which haven’t been sent to either of us and would have been counted as no shows had I not seen them.

Speaking of Barry, I’d like to thank my always fabulously fab blogging partner for his excellent topic choice and always sterling participation in the blogathon from inception to its execution. This topic of mismatched couples seems to be a popular one,  and that bloggers have loved writing about, just judging from those enthusiastic posts and feedback. I’ve passed on all the compliments to Barry as he instigated this idea originally. I’d like to also thank Barry for his wonderful recaps and his sterling support and friendship, in those emails we’ve shared in the last few days.

I’d also like to thank all of you who have added posts so far. I hope to catch up with commenting and reading those posts with some from Day 2 and all from today onwards in the next few days. And now to today’s reviews…

Daffny at A Vintage Nerd kicks things off with one from yesterday, Love and Pain and the Whole Damn Thing (1973) and her choice of  Lila Fisher (Maggie Smith) and Walter Elbertson (Timothy Bottoms)…

See you tomorrow with the last of these mismatched couples and wonderful writers in my final recap… if you want to join another blogathon, click on this title below… and you can join the It’s In the Name of the Title Blogathon

  1. thanks for the awesome blogathon, Gill!

it’s been fun and I definitely have some new titles to add to my list!

for some reason, my comment on Eddie from film authorities review of The enforcer failed to post. I tried twice. Would you please pass along a message for me? Please tell him that his review was awesome because I had only seen the first dirty Harry movie, but after his review, I seriously desire to see The enforcer! It sounds like my kind of crazy, especially when he mentioned nuns wielding shotguns! Thanks again, Gill!

    • When I posted the original comment, it didn’t appear on your blog like in past blogathons. Thinking this was a technical error, I posted the same comment again. I didn’t realize what had happened until I read your Mismatched Couples Blogathon day three article.
