NEWS… Join us for Day 2 of the (Roger) Cormanverse Blogathon

#AllPosts

Celebrate the man and the legend that is Roger Corman…

For the second time in as many days, we delve into the films of Roger Corman and those he worked with.

Yesterday in this Roger Corman tribute Barry – from Cinematic Catharsis – and I had four wonderful entries with everything from killer alligators to William Shatner. And there is a genre for every Corman fan, as we bloggers discovered some unique and wonderful films from Corman and his film school’s filmographies.

These movies and reviews showed just a wee glimpse into this man’s prolific career from the 1960s. Corman was discovered to be a man of many talents as he was discovered behind the camera as a director, creating his own live scenes to create his then film “adaptation” or as a one time mentor of his writing partner, John Sayles in a film from this writer’s filmography…

Due to Barry and my huge time zone difference, this means that some of you will get mentioned on his Day 1 and my Day 2. And because of this, I woke up to the first two of these starry entries this morning…

Films Beyond the Time Barrier explores The Fast and the Furious (1954), made before the conception of that later franchise…

A Shroud of Thoughts tells us more about The Little Shop of Horrors (1960), and keep your eyes peeled for Jack Nicholson in an early role…

Moon in Gemini adds her post on the Tower of London (1962)…

Michael from Maniacs and Monsters adds his review on X: The Man With The X-Ray Eyes (1963)…

Tune in here for Day 1… And tune in later as I will be adding more entries as I get them, and also come back tomorrow for the final day.

Bloggers do tell us if you are running late and when we can expect your review… and no worries if this is you as there are a few expected latecomers already… and as you know those time zones are a wee bit crazy…
