A couple of Jobs…
A wee bit about Ashton Kutcher’s role as Steve Jobs, founder of Apple in a film set in the 1970s.

For the Oscar for Best Actor as Steve Jobs, I’ll let you darlin’ reader decide as I only watched 10 minutes of Ashton Kutcher’s Jobs (2013) and have not seen the other biopic. So the choice is yours. In my defence, I started to watch this film, with the possibly intentionally confusing title Jobs.
This title could have covered a multitude of film plots most of which would probably have held my interest more than this did. It’s a shame really, as I assume the man honoured in this biopic was a lot more interesting than this film gives him credit for. The film tells the story of Steve Jobs and the trailer appears to be an advertisement for a company named after the communal garden fruit.
The cast includes The 70s Show’s Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs with support from James Woods. In 2015, a new biopic called Steve Jobs (2015) was also released about this man. But this time with Michael Fassbender as the man himself alongside Seth Rogen and Kate Winslet.
Darlin Husband and I watched the former Jobs film for 10 minutes. This film was just 5 minutes less painful than the 5 minute record set by the first and only Twishite Twilight film we’ve watched. Twilight to us is like the Star Wars prequels, in that, it’s only worth watching if in parody form.
Sorry, but girl loves vampire was done much more successfully in the George Hamilton and Susan Saint James film Love at First Bite (1979). Thoughts go to the then Mrs Kutcher, Demi Moore who had to sit through the Jobs‘ film premiere. But then she possibly made him sit through some of her less memorable performances.
I know I shouldn’t really judge films in the first 5 or 10 minutes, so please forgive me if this film gets better. So I’ve had only a nibble of this biopic, and I’ve avoided the remaining chunk of this film… I can only hope that the Fassbender film on this man is better – as it suggests from the more prolific cast as a fresh look at the Apple founder, rather than a rotten one.
