The final day has come around again, or has it?
After a massive 12 posts yesterday, what will today bring?
This morning I woke to a deluge of posts and tweets for this the final day of the Home Sweet Home blogathon. This an amazing amount for one day (for me anyway!). It made yesterday seem like as quiet as that moment before the big Oscar winner is announced. Yesterday brought 12 lovely posts on all sorts of films and TV and all tributed by some great bloggers in some passionate posts.
These splendid reviews wrote about families of all sorts. Posts included alien families (and not of the little green alien kind), immigrants, orphaned siblings and off-screen families with John Wayne and sons. Other on-screen families included hose of single parents, blended families and kids living with uncles or with fathers. There was also an extensive tour around the Brady house in America and drama from Australia, Anime from Japan, romantic comedy from America and a horror film from England.
These posts included anime, drama serials, dramas and comedies of all kinds. Stars included Mark Lester, Michael Caine, Jean Arthur, Jane Curtin, Patrick Wayne, Michelle Pfeiffer and Dirk Bogarde. There were colour and black and white movies from nearly every decade from the 1930s to the 2000s.
So just before the final (?) posts, I’d like to thank my lovely co-host Rebecca from Taking up Room for helping me run this blogathon. From making the fabulous banners to choosing this topic, she’s been a real star. And thanks to the 28 bloggers so far. This for their wonderful passionate contributions during this blogathon run.
If you are running late, do tell us so we can look out for your post and tell us which blogathon the post is for as both Rebecca and myself have upcoming blogathons…
